Carroll Wayne Wright

Born May 26, 1939, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Clarence E. Lawhorne and Aileen Wright Ashworth. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Dennis, and Douglas Wright, and James Ashworth.

Mr. Wright was retired from Jim Mitchell Ford. He was a member of Goodnews Baptist Church and attended Fairview Christian Church. He loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors also include two sons, Michael Wright and wife Bonnie, of Forest, and Timothy Wright, of VA Beach; four brothers, Harvey Wright and wife Anita, of Madison Heights, Ronald Wright and wife Judy, Clarence Wright and wife Patsy, and Terry Ashworth and wife Marilyn, all of Lynchburg; two grandsons, Zachary, and Tyler Wright; sisters-in-law, Barbara Gail Wright, of Lynchburg, and Minnie Wright, of Rustburg; loving friend, Sandra Brown, special friend, Steven Ward; special dear friend, Ann Neighbors, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home, by the Rev. Ronnie Freeman. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
