Charles Ned Baldwin Sr.

Born April 14, 1944 in Washington County, VA, he was the son of the late Cleo Franklin Baldwin and Hazel McNeil Baldwin. He was a self-employed carpenter and was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and brother.

Mr. Baldwin is survived by three children, Charles Baldwin, Jr. and Kristie Baldwin, both of Lynchburg, and Marsha Wood and husband David, all of Lynchburg; two sisters, Billie McDowell of Yorktown and Robin Knight of Forest; four brothers, Tom Baldwin and wife Mary of Hampton, Mick Baldwin and wife Karin of Forest, Sam Baldwin and wife Anne of Moneta, and Jerry Baldwin and wife Cathy of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Mary Francis Thompson, Amber Lee Wood, and David Lee Wood, Jr. and his former wife and special friend, Linda G. Baldwin.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2013 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Bobby Brumfield officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2013

at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.
