He was born on July 21, 1943 in Oakvale, WV, son of the late Berna and Dora Lambert.
Charles retired after 25 years with Kroger. His grandkids were his life and he loved spending as much time with them as he could.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son in law, Brian Drinkard.
He is survived by three children, Annette McClain and husband Seth, Charlene Drinkard, and Lee Van Horn; a sister, Virginia Hackett; a brother, Alfred Lambert; three grandchildren, Angel, David, and Brandon McClain as well numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor James Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:45 am – 10:45 am at the funeral home.
