

Charlie had a huge circle of friends to include those from kindergarten and elementary school years to his graduation from EC Glass High School, friends from his days at College, friends from a life spent in the Commercial Construction Industry until his retirement as a Construction Superintendent from Coleman-Adams Construction Inc., and a large number of motorcyclist friends from over 60 years as a motorcycle rider and enthusiast of all.
His love of traveling on his bike, with his wife and lifelong riding companion, Barbara Ferrari, spanned all those years and took them all over the United States and Canada which included trips to Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and to the end of the paved road in Labrador.
In addition, they traveled extensively internationally throughout the UK and Europe, Nepal and Tibet, and Australia. He considered his second home to be the South Island of New Zealand where he and Barbara traveled for over 14 years on a motorcycle that he kept there.
Charlie is preceded in death by his father, Charles Eaton Robinson Jr., and his mother, Shirley Colbert Robinson, and his sister, Pamela Jean Robinson Parr and her husband William “Randy” Parr.
Charlie is survived by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Barbara Ferrari, who shared and supported him in all things. He is also survived by his sister Robin Robinson Roberts and her husband Tom Roberts of Roanoke, VA and nieces Betsy Roberts Thomas and her husband Ben Thomas and their children Clayton and Henry, Mary Pope Roberts and her husband Shawn Baako and daughter Paige, also of Roanoke, VA. and Sallie Roberts Hackney and her husband Austin Hackney and their children Miller and Diana, of Atlanta, GA.
Charlie wants to send a special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at the UVA Hospital Charles O. Strickler Transplant Center in Charlottesville, VA for having given him a “Second Chance” at Life. In addition, another special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, and Nursing Aides at Centra Hospice who were so attentive and caring.

A Celebration of Life event will be held at the Boonsboro Ruritan Club 1499 Coffee Road, Lynchburg, VA 24503 on Monday June 22, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
Charlie’s smile and witty sense of humor will be forever remembered and in closing Charlie wants to let everybody know that “He is off on his next great adventure, and he is hoping that they have Motorcycles in Heaven.”
