

Born October 30, 1922 in Maidsville, W.VA., he was a son of the late Harvey Albert Jones and Adelaide Addison Jones. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a retired postmaster of 25 years for the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Jones was a member of
Trinity United Methodist Church in Mansfield, Ohio. He attended Mountain View United Methodist Church in Forest.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Chad Jones and wife, Dolores of Boca Raton, Fl., Charles Jones and wife, Anita Solow of Lynchburg; brother, David Jones and wife, Becky of Mansfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon, Kevin, Benjamin, Daniel, Brian and his wife, Courtney Jones, and great-granddaughter, Morgan Kathleen Jones.
Chester is preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Taylor and Naomi Ruth Franks.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 in Mountain View United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Steven L. Propst. Military honors by American Legion Post # 16.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
A private interment will be at Culpeper National Cemetery.
