Christine McGettigan

November 15, 1966 – August 8, 2026
Obituary of Christine McGettigan
IN THE CARE OF

Whitten Timberlake Chapel

Christine McGettigan, age 59, of Forest, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Born on November 15, 1966, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Christine was the daughter of the late David Richter and Kathleen (Lucas) Richter. She attended Visitation BVM Catholic school, as well as Villa Joseph Marie, and graduated from Bensalem High School.

Chris had many wonderful qualities and will be remembered for her loving and caring nature, her patience with others, and her open, free-spirited heart. She enjoyed reading, crafts, flowers and cherished the time she spent with her family, especially family game nights. She was a member of Ladies of the Moose 1727 and really enjoyed playing bingo there with her family. A special memory for her was her visit to Hawaii, an experience she loved and remembered fondly.

Christine is survived by the love of her life, John. They met 32 years ago “running errands”. He still has a honey do list to this day. She is also survived by her son, Sean (Breonna); her “seesters” Pamela Hilty (Robert), Megan McLaughlin (Brent), and “brother from another mother” John Crusemire. She was affectionately known as Aunt Christie by her many nieces and nephews including; Jeffrey Hilty, Daniel Hilty, Sophia Haber, Bailey Mitchell, Morgan McLaughlin, Jackie Dickinson. She will also be missed by her best friend, Maryellen Jones; and countless other friends and family.

At the family's request, services will remain private.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Christine's memory at www.stjude.org
