Born April 10, 1943 in Kinsgton, Jamica, he was the son of the late James Ernest Stewart Caithlness and Elsie Lawrence Caithness. Chris proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Vietnam veteran and retired from the Marine Corps. after 24 years of service. He was an avid golfer and member of the Ivy Hill Golf Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brian Caithness of Wilmington, NC and Gary Caithness and his wife Alissa Caithness of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Caithness, Christopher Caithness, Jessica Caithness and Kristine Caithness and his former daughter-in-law, Amy Caithness.
