

Connie Gail Perdieu Wade, 60, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, August 15, 2016, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Melvin Wayne Wade. Born September 16, 1955, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Willis Elmer (Peewee) Perdieu, Sr. and the late Thelma Pritchett Perdieu.
Connie was a hostess for the Holiday Inn Express and was a member of The Salvation Army.
Connie was preceded in death by 2 children, Kevin & Alexandria. Survivors in addition to her husband, include a son Sean Michael Willis Herbert Wade of Lynchburg; three siblings, David Lee Perdieu, Roy A. Perdieu (Donna) and Betty P. Ware (Ron), all of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2016, at The Salvation Army with Captain Donald Dohmann and Captain Jason Perdieu officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel and at other times at the residence of Ron and Betty Ware.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army or the E.C. Glass Football Program.
