David Matthew Johnson

Born on May 23, 1958, he was the son of Grace Vest Adams and the late Jesse James Johnson. David enjoyed bluegrass music and playing the guitar, coon hunting, and working on cars; however his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Judy Johnson.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Grace Adams and husband, George; daughter, Christy Parks and husband, Clint; four grandchildren, Brooke, Austin, Kinley and Willow Parks; brother, Joe Johnson and wife, Pamela; sisters, Patsy Banks and Doris Wilson and husband, Carl; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Virginia Memorial Park in the office chapel, with Pastor Carl Weiser officiating.
