David Wayne Lyles

Born in Lynchburg, April 24, 1951, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Lyles and Dorothy Higgenbothem Lyles. He was a 1970 graduate of Brookville High School and a 1976 graduate of Lynchburg College. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

One brother, Robert L. Lyles, Jr. preceded him in death.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Chris Lyles and his wife Maggie of Ft. Worth, TX, Deanna Lyles and her husband Inigo Gil of Madrid Spain, Kevin Lyles and his wife Chelsea of Christiansburg and Mark Lyles and his wife Katherine of Norcross, GA; two sisters, Betty Kerr and husband Phil and Bonnie Williams and husband John all of Lynchburg; sister-in-law, Fran Lyles of Annapolis, MD and five grandchildren, Ty Lyles, Noah Gil, Mila Gil, Emma Gil and Rowan Lyles.

A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Celebrant Polly Starnes officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 at the funeral home.
