Deborah Sue Pope Smith, 63, of Rustburg passed away Friday, February 26, 2021, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Otho Anthony Smith. Born April 12, 1957, in PLACE, she was the daughter of the late John Pope and the late Alease McCoy Pope.
Deborah was a deli clerk for Kroger Food Stores, where she served for 40 years. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend.
In addition to her husband, Deborah is survived by her two children, Brandon Anthony Smith of Rustburg and Ashley Nicole Smith of Kentucky; one brother Doug Pope and his wife Sherry of Lynchburg; and other loving family members and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2020, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Rev. Keith Vinson officiating.
