Born December 29, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Ornie and Gladys Ewing and was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Ewing Faulconer; sisters-in-law, Earlene Cooper, Catherine St. John, and Catherine Almond; brothers-in-law, Herman (Hounddog) Almond, Fred Almond, and Lynn Faulconer.
Mrs. Almond was retired from General Electric Company and was a loyal member of Fairview Christian Church. For many years she volunteered at Crisis Line and Delivered Medicine to Cancer Patients.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Vickie Almond Goodman, her sons, Michael James Almond and Brad William Almond (Stacie); her most treasured and precious grandchildren, Travis Goodman (Krista), Ryan Schneider (Jon), Michael Almond, Kelsey Almond, and Courtney Acevedo (David), and the joys of her life, her great grandchildren, Zachary Almond, Julianna Goodman, Matthew Wolfe, Ava Almond, Wyatt Schneider, Kara Goodman, Brooke Schneider, Preston Acevedo, Trevor Goodman, and Amelia Acevedo. She is also survived by a brother In Law, Bobby St. John, and a number of nieces and nephews, that she loved, as if they were her own children.
A celebration of Mrs. Almond’s life will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Christian Church with The Rev. Gary Vernon officiating. A reception will follow the service, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Food Closet at Fairview Christian Church or to Hospice.
