Dennis Morgan Wade Sr.

Dennis Morgan Wade, Sr., 65, of Lynchburg passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Llewellyn Wade and Gaynell Wade. Also his sister, Lois Lawhorn and daughter Crissy Wade.
He was born on July 11, 1955 in Lynchburg. Dennis loved playing music. His band (Denim and Lace) opened up for the Bellamy Brothers/ Forester Sisters. He also ate chicken at a concert with Garth Brooks. His trade was heating and air which both of his sons have taken after from him. Dennis was a jack of all trades. He was mechanically inclined. Dennis was a jokester and never met a stranger. Dennis loved his music, food, and women.
He was once one of the Pastors of Eternal Baptist Church.
Surviving are his 2 sons, Dennis Wade Jr. (Stephanie) of Lynchburg and Steven Wade (Jessica) of Madison Heights; sister, Shelby Hall (Robert) of Evington; brother, Rev. Sidney Wade (Shelby) of Madison Heights; grandchildren, Skylar, Gaige, River, Karli, Tiana, Samantha, Dylan, Emma, Caroline, Abigail, Madelyn and Natalie; and 4 great grandchildren, Georgia, Cavanni, Abigail, and Theo.
The family would like to thank Heartland Health Care Center for taking care of Dennis.
D.J. and Steven want to thank Shelby for always being there for their Dad.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
