Born on August 1, 1940, in San Diego, CA, she was the only child of the late William Bowman and Irene Bowman.
Throughout her life, Diane found great joy in connecting with people. She worked for 15 years as a receptionist for the Lake Ridge Association HOA, where she enjoyed helping and interacting with the people in her community. Later, she worked as a greeter at Kohl’s, a job she especially loved because it allowed her to be surrounded by people. Diane had a true gift for making others feel comfortable and welcome. She never met a stranger and enjoyed talking with people, getting to know them, and sharing a kind word or a smile. Diane also had many interests that brought her happiness. She loved sewing, cooking, and antiquing.
Diane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick Lewis.
Diane is survived by her two children, Michael Lewis (Donna) and Laurie Baber (William); her three grandchildren, Emily Scott (Stephan), Amanda Daggle (Luke), and Erin Lewis; and her four great-grandchildren, Brinley, Beckham, Baylee, and Hayes.
Diane leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, friendship, and kindness. She will be deeply missed, but the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
