Born in Lynchburg on March 9, 1954, he was the son of Lillie Cyrus and the late Donald Leon Cyrus, Sr.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Lynn Cyrus.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Donnie Ray Cyrus and wife Sandy of Concord, Tracy Ann Kennon and husband Frank of Appomattox, Debra Lynn Nadeau and husband Mark of Bedford, Garland Wesley Cyrus and wife Angie of Madison Heights, and Robert Lee Cyrus of Madison Heights; his eleven grandchildren; and his sister Pamela Cyrus of Lynchburg.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Spring Hill Cemetery.
