Born in Lynchburg on June 22, 1957, he was the son of Shirley Austin Goff and the late Wade Burnette Simmons. He was a member of Rustburg Baptist Church. He was a longtime employee of Wooldridge Heating and Air.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Osborne.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Teresa Osborne (Levi); brothers, Ronald Simmons (Theresa) and Frank Goff Jr. (Julie); nieces and nephews, Diane Osborne, Jessica, Wade-Michael, John-Thomas, Frank III, Jordan, Jessie, Alex, and Austin; his great nieces and nephews, David, Diamond, and Precious; Cousin, Lester Wooldridge (Trisha); good friend, Stephen King; and his dog, RJ.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 PM on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Wooldridge Family Cemetery, 651 Greenhouse Rd, Rustburg, with the Pastor Roger Roller officiating.
