Donna Wilson Rawlings, 63, of Evington, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 29, 2023. She was the wife of the late Darrell Wayne Rawlings and was also preceded in death by her brother Ronald E. Wilson; her maternal grandparents, Ernest and Sallie Hillsman and her paternal grandparents, Charles and Lizzie Wilson.
Born on August 20, 1959, Donna was an extraordinarily loving individual, whose devotion to her family was paramount in her life. She devoted her life to caring for her daughter Noel and she treasured every moment she could spend with her. In every available opportunity, Donna reveled in sharing and expressing her deep-rooted faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was widely recognized for her unwavering faith in the belief that through prayer, anything was possible. She also loved her pastor and church family at Langhorne Chapel Community Church where she served in any way she could, including serving as the church treasurer for a number of years. She loved going on outings with her family and friends celebrating life.
Donna's journey through life was marked by love, faith, and an unwavering dedication to her beliefs. Her profound love for her family, her fervent devotion to Jesus Christ, her adventurous spirit all shaped the tapestry of her existence. Donna's legacy is one of love, faith, and a life well-lived, inspiring all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her parents, Charles E. Wilson and Barbara Hillsman Wilson; her daughter, Noel N. Rawlings; her sister, Rhonda W. Perry (Kenneth); her brother, Barry W. Wilson (Lynette); her special Aunt, Judy Durham; five step-sons, Derek Tolley, Jacob Tolley, Don Tolley, Ronnie Tolley and Jeff Tolley; special cousins, Valerie Muncher, Brian Hillsman and Jeff Durham; her sister-in-law, Donna J. Wilson; her uncle Wayne Durham and a good friend Mary Jane Weaver and a number of nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A service celebrating her life and faith will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2023 at Langhorne Chapel Community Church with Pastor and friend, Dwight Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Leffler community cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
