

Born October 5, 1930 in Clifford, VA, Amherst County to the late Early Webster Critzer and Etta Marie Cash Critzer. She was the wife of the late W. Lewis Waller to whom she was married for fifty years.
She was baptized and confirmed at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Clifford. In later years, she became a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Lynchburg. Doris was an Avon Representative for over thirty-five years receiving many awards for distinguished sales and service including the coveted Miss Albee Award. She was also a member of TOPS VA 596, Lynchburg.
In addition to her father, mother and husband, she was preceded in death
by a special cousin, Evelyn C. Campbell.
Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Doris J. Waller of Knoxville, TN, and Minnie B. Grogan and husband Lloyd of Forest; special friends, Rev. C. Randall Harlow and Judy H. Pruett both of Lynchburg whom Doris & Lewis considered to be their son and daughter, and Dorothy Harlow of Arrington and Melissa McCoy of Lynchburg; a special cousin and his wife, Robert P. Critzer and Jean of Crimora; other family and friends; and the staff at the Carrington who provided love, care and friendship during her nine years as a resident there.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. C. Randall Harlow officiating. Interment will follow at Amherst Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
