Born on January 17, 1918 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Perry Edward and Lena Dudley Wells. She was a retired RN and a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church until her health declined.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased in death by her son, Larry Neil Cox and a number of brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Cox is survived by one sister Margaret Wells of Lynchburg and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Fort Hill Memorial Park by the Rev Brian Seay and Rev. Andy Grose officiating. Visitation with the family will follow immediately after the graveside service.
