Dorothy Elizabeth Hines

Born in Lynchburg, July 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late David Anderson Hines and Paulina Elizabeth Wooldridge Hines.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lucile H. Parrish; a brother-in-law, Allie H. Parrish, Sr. and a nephew, Allie H. Parrish, Jr.

She is survived by a niece, Carole S. Parrish of Forest; one great niece, Susan P. Williams, also of Forest; one great nephew, Allie H. Parrish, III of Lynchburg; two great-great nieces, Alissa Williams and Hailey Williams and one great-great nephew, Troy D. Williams, Jr.

Dot was a member of Euclid Christian Church. She was a clerk in the Municipal Civil Court of Lynchburg and Secretary to Judge J.V. Gorman. She later became a deputy clerk of Lynchburg General District Court until her retirement in 1982.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton and the Rev. Ed Parrish officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. today, Monday, March 21, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
