Born in Lynchburg, April 13, 1964, he was a son of Robert Edward Hartless of Monroe and the late Geneva Margaret Mason Hartless.
Survivors include three children, Candyce Faye Grant, Crystal Dawn Trent and Douglas Ashton Ewing; two sisters, Wanda Sue Hartless of Monroe and Janice Lynn Hartless of Rustburg; two brothers, Jerry Wayne Hartless of Lynchburg and Joseph Edward Hartless of Madison Heights and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Old City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 Sunday at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.
