Born on November 8, 1953 in Ansted, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Thomas Simonton and Glenda Simonton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Simonton, Thomas Simonton, Clyde Simonton and a sister, Deanna Simonton.
He is survived by two daughters, Amanda S. Jamerson and Tiffany S. Mitchell; son Douglas J. Simonton, Jr.; two brothers Cary Simonton and Steve Simonton and eight grandchildren.
Services will be private.
