Obituary of Duncan "Butch" Ferguson Osborne Sr.
Duncan “Butch” Ferguson Osborne, Sr., 82 of Lynchburg, loving husband of Linda B. Osborne, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. He was born in Lynchburg on July 4, 1940, son of the late Henry and Nancy Osborne. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters, Frances Lorine Wilkins, Louise Campbell, Barbara Osborne and Virginia Gains; four brothers, Thomas “Tommy” Osborne, Sr., William “Bill” Osborne, Robert “Lacy” Osborne, and Henry Osborne as well a one grandson, Eric Duncan Osborne. Duncan attended Harvest Baptist Church, was retired from Flav-O-Rich Dairy after 50 years and has served in the Army National Guard. In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by a daughter, Patricia “Pat” Pinchbeck; a son, Duncan “Duke” Osborne, Jr. and wife Wanda; a brother, Edward L. Osborne; five grandchildren, Stephanie Thompson, Hailey Rawlins and husband Zachary, Joshua Osborne and fiancé Kelly Johnson, Kirby Ford and husband Chris, and Nicole Clements and husband Thomas as well as six great grandchildren, Maci Rawlins, Colt Rawlins, Jensen Ford, Connor Ford, Layne Osborne and Parker Osborne. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel where a celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 5, 2022 with Pastor Mark Snowden officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
