Edna Witt Little

Born on October 12, 1924 in Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Reese Witt and Mary Stella Pugh Witt. Edna graduated from New London Academy and devoted her life to taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death her son, Andrew Kenneth Little and her brother, William Witt.

Edna is survived by her daughters, Patricia Myers (Edward) of Evington, Barbara Jennings (John) of Huson, MT, and Laura Throckmorton (Steve) of Holden Beach, NC; three granddaughters, Tamatha Powell (David) of Chesterfield, Sara Throckmorton of Norfolk, and Carrie Throckmorton (Nate) of Charlottesville; and one great granddaughter, Brooke Powell of Chesterfield.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 10 am.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Autumn Care of Altavista for their compassionate care and support during Edna’s stay at the nursing home.
