Born December 21, 1938, in Long Island, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Frederick Herman and Harriet Whelan Tucker and was also preceded in death by a brother, David Tucker. She was a retired clerk with Verizon and was a devoted wife, mother, and aunt.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Narehood is survived by her son, Lawrence B. Narehood and his wife, Elizabeth of Rustburg; sister-in-law, Lenore Tucker; a niece, Kathleen T. Klosner and husband, Neil; and two nephews, Joseph Tucker and Timothy Tucker and wife, Urie, all of Long Island, N.Y.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Virginia Memorial Park, 11490 Forest Rd, Forest, VA 24551.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Centra Hospice.
