Born in Bluefield, VA on October 11, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Sherman G. and Annie D. Tiller. Elizabeth was the last of 12 children.
She was a retired seamstress with Imperial Reading Corporation and a member of Fairview Christian Church. Elizabeth enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, shopping, and cooking. Her passion however, was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, William “Bill” Paul Gibbs and wife Gail and a daughter; Donna J. Horning and husband Roger. Seven grandchildren, Jeff Horning, Brian Horning, Lora Horning Cash, Sarah Gibbs Grant, Jonathan Gibbs, David Gibbs, and Rebekah Gibbs Raley and fifteen great grandchildren also survive her.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:50 on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake chapel where a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
