Elizabeth Hudson Sprouse Burnett

Born in Nelson Co., she was the daughter of the late Herbert Arthur Hudson and the late Virgie Goff Hudson. In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, John Linwood Sprouse, Jr., one brother, Herbert A. “Pete” Hudson, Jr. and one sister, Edna Mae Hudson.

Elizabeth was a member of Eastbrook Baptist Church. She took great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Kay S. Wilkes and her husband, Jim, of Bedford, Fay S. Clowdis and her husband, Lynn, of Concord, Jerry Lee Sprouse and D. Doug Sprouse and his wife, Amy, all of Gladys; one brother, Sherman Hudson of Big Island; two sisters, Virginia Dare H. Crowell of Lynchburg and Maggie H. McAllister of Concord; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Interment will follow in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
