Born January 26, 1938 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Ellis Patrick Campbell and Sarah Crist Campbell. She retired after 40 years as an inspector for Courtland Manufacturing and was a member of Church of God of Prophecy.
She is also preceded in death by a son, Arnold Ray Campbell and brother, Clifford Clay Wood .
Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Lonnie Carrico and wife, Irene, Ronald A. McIntosh and Debi Hall; daughter Debra Beckner and husband, Lindsey; brothers, Donald Campbell, Larry Campbell and wife, Kay, Fred Campbell and Debbie, Reuben A. Wood and wife, Charlie, Winfred Wood and wife, Pam; sisters, Phyllis Spruce, Barbara Manden and husband, Don, Linda Harper and Mac; 9 grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren, and a very dear friend, Pat Matthews.
A funeral service will be held Monday July 9, 2012 in Whitten Timberlake Chapel at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. Gary L. Vernon. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
