

Born May 3, 1922, in Amherst County she was a daughter of the late Aurelius Burton and Alice Thompson Carson. She was a retired supervisor with Courtland Manufacturing Co. and a long and faithful member of Timberlake Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her son, Wilson Warren Womack, Jr.; two sisters, Ossie C. Anderson, Oneeda C. Thompson; two brothers, A. Burton Carson Jr., Theodore R. Carson; and a daughter in law, Alice S. Womack.
Mrs. Womack is survived by a daughter, Glenda W. Raborn, and her husband, Wayne, of Richmond; brother, Clarence Carson, and his wife, Cornelia of Spout Spring; sisters, Alma C. Garrette, Lobelia “Billie” Steele and Frances C. Evans, all of Concord; and five grandchildren, Kevin W. Womack, of Forest, Erinn S., Megan B. and Evan W. Raborn, all of Richmond , Mandi R. McClain and husband Zacharie, of Maryland; daughter-in- law, Rosemary Womack, of Lynchburg; and step-granddaughter, Marsha Leighton of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel by the Rev. Bryan Ferrell, Dr. James Alley and Mr. Wayne Raborn. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Timberlake Baptist Church, or a memorial scholarship fund at Richmond Christian School, 6511 Belmont Road, Chesterfield, Va. 23832.
