Born on June 13, 1924 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Reuben and Pearl Maddox. Emma was a member of Fairview Christian Church. She retired from Lynchburg Hosiery Mill and loved doing yard work and growing azaleas. She also loved her family and her loyal sons and daughters from Fairview Christian.
Emma is survived by her sons, Melvin Willis and wife Patti of CA and Rodney Willis of Forest; grandchildren, Heather Anne Willis, Zane Thomas Clay Willis, and Chase Lynn Willis; and her sister Mary Large.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Rev. Curtis Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 1 pm.
