Frances Ann Palmer

Born April 28, 1933, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late George Basil Arnold and the late Frances W. Arnold.

Frances was a retired cashier for Lynchburg City Schools and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, Frances was preceded in death by her sister, Jeanie Duff.

Frances is survived by her children, Kathy Meredith (Jim) of Lynchburg and John Kirk Palmer (Julie) also of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Laura Ashton (Jon), Michael P. Meredith, Sydney Palmer and Eli Palmer; one great-grandchild, Victoria Ashton; one brother-in-law, C.C. Duff, Jr. of Crossville, TN and her cousin Jerry Lee Craddock of Lynchburg.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dennis S. Roberts officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or the Johnny Palmer Scholarship Fund at E.C. Glass High School.
