Frank David Tester

Frank David Tester, 58, of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018. He was the loving husband of Jane Libatique Flores-Tester. Born on August 1, 1960 in Watertown, NY, he was the son of Ruth Naomi Zehr Tester and the late Robert Dallas Tester. David worked for Centra Health and was a member of Tree of Life Ministries. He enjoyed swimming, movies, music, and collecting TV series-especially Andy Griffith. David also was an avid reader of John Grisham books and has read the entire Bible several times. As an active member of Tree of Life, he served in the Bread Ministry, Men’s Ministry, and the Usher Ministry. David loved to sing and his personal ministry was serving others. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by two nephews, Tom Petherbridge and Jacob Williamson and his mother-in-law, Anita Libatique Flores. David is survived by his wife, Jane Flores-Tester; son, Michael Tester and wife Danielle; granddaughter, Lucy Tester; sisters, Chamma Tester Tomlin and husband Steve, Tanya Tester Paulette and husband Scott, Juanita Tester Williamson and husband Mark, and Lana Tester Musgrave and husband Mike; nieces and nephews, Anna and Ray Gipson, Ryan Tomlin, Christian Petherbridge and her son, Thomas, Quinton Williamson, Megan Musgrave, Joshua Musgrave, Madelyn Musgrave, and Piper Musgrave; brothers and sister-in-law, Carlito Flores and wife Helena, Orlino Flores, Jr., Jimmy Flores and wife Myrna, Luis Flores, Maria Alicia Flores, and Ferdinand Flores and wife Glynda; and numerous other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Tree of Life Ministries, with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Tree of Life Ministries.
