Geneva Miear Maddox

Born in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late Hammond Miear and the late Lennes Marsh Miear.

Geneva was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Vanessa M. Harderand her husband, David, Wade P. Maddox and Michelle M. Fletcher and her husband, Scott, all of Lynchburg; five sisters, Jean M. Mason of Evington, Rebecca M. Lacey and her husband, Jack, of Lynchburg, Edith M. Tyree of Forest, Irma M. Coleman and her husband, Allen and Linda M. Pulliam and her husband, Hershel, all of Goode and one grandson, Collyn Fletcher.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Mike Dodson, officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence.
