Geneve Dickey Shanaberger

She was born on November 15, 1921 in Berlin, PA to the late Harry H. and Mary B. Dickey.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by, her brother, Carl E. Dickey; a daughter in law, June Towler Shanaberger; and a great grandson, Grayson Brightwell.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Shanaberger of Chatham and Larry Shanaberger and wife Martha of Deltaville; three daughters, Carol S. Blanks and husband Michael of Forest, Kathy S. Brightwell and husband Robert of Madison Heights, and Cheryl S. Hasson and husband Robert of Altavista; a brother, Ronald Dickey of Sun City, AZ; a sister, Lois D. Krause of Berlin, PA as well as eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Geneve was a member of Park View United Methodist Church and was retired from K-Mart following twenty years of service. She loved to read and work on crossword puzzles.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Monday, August 14, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
