

Born March 10, 1929 in Madison Heights, he was the son of the late George Cabell Eggleston, Sr. and Mae Campbell Eggleston and was also preceded in death by a son, Gregory Scott Eggleston and a brother, Roy James Eggleston. Mr. Eggleston was retired from Lynchburg Foundry with twenty-three years of service and was retired from the Virginia Army National Guard with thirty years of service. After retirement, Mr. Eggleston worked as a Day Manager with the Landmark Steakhouse. He was a member of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Eggleston is survived by his daughter, Tammie Eggleston-Wooldridge and husband Tommy of Bedford; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Brown Eggleston of Forest; two sisters, Shirley Ann Peters and Betty Jo Brooks, both of Evington; three grandchildren, Thomas Scott Eggelston Wooldridge, Taylor Anne Eggleston, and Joshua Cabell Eggleston and a great granddaughter, Mallarie Nikole Eggleston.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Mike Watkins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and other times at the residence.
