Born July 31, 1939 in Williamsville, NY, he was the son of the late Joe D. and Trena Brown Miller and was also preceded in death by his son, Allen E. Miller of Short Pump, VA in 2018. Gil was a retired truck driver with ERB Company, Inc. of Buffalo, NY, where he was employed for thirty-five years. He faithfully served at Living Word Baptist Church, Forest, VA.
Gil enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing games with family, going to car races, and traveling with family. He loved going to his grandchildren’s events, joking around with them, and spoiling them. He was known for his “Gilby” jokes, his befriending everyone, his gentleness and investment in others. He loved Jesus and was regularly found reading his Bible.
In addition to his wife, Gil is survived by his son, Robbin Miller and wife Kelly of Forest; two sisters, Edith Miller of Mechanicsburg, PA and Sharon Herr and husband Earl of Martinsburg, PA; six grandchildren, Kristen Priest, Kaitlyn Myers, Erika Miller, Megan Pelletier, Shannon Miller, and Lauren Miller and two great-grandchildren, Riley Myers and Isla Pelletier.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date, to be announced.
