Glenda Mann Fields

Glenda Johnson Mann Fields, 77, of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born April 3, 1936, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Duey Edward Johnson and the late Mabel Leebrick Johnson.

Glenda was a homemaker and a member of Christian Chapel. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Johnson; and two grandchildren, Nina Mann and Joshua Mann.

Glenda is survived by her children, James “Joe” Mann (Shelley Lenhart) of Appomattox and Sheila Mann (Lawrence Davis) of Lynchburg; step-daughter, Catherine Martin of Appomattox; sister, Marlene Beechmann (Harris) of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren, Joseph Mann, Matt Mann and Kelly Mann; one great-grandchild, Sean Mann; a devoted cousin, Betty Leebrick of Lynchburg; and special friends, Ginger, Virginia and Susan.

A funeral service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2013, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Ray Triplett officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, 2-4 p.m., Sunday, August 18, 2013, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at the residence following the service on Monday.
