Gloria Jean Tyree

She was born in Lynchburg on January 5, 1958, daughter of the late Bill W. Smalls and the late Alene Smalls.

Gloria loved the beach and her dogs. She liked to color and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. Her laugh was contagious and she loved making jokes.

She is survived by three children, Melissa Jean Grossman and husband Gary, Dale Tyree, Jr., and William Tyree; a brother, David Blankenship and a sister. Marie Baisden. She will be fondly remembered by her eight grandchildren, Alissa, Brittany, Caidyn, Chris, Haeley, Peyton, Serena, and Zack and her five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her significant other, Robert Brett.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service until 8:00.
