

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hector Espinosa and Olga Milanes Espinosa.
Dr. Espinosa graduated from PONTIFICIA UNIVERSIDAD XAVERIANA SANTA FE DE BOGOTA, COLOMBIA
1968 MAGNA CUM LAUDE, Doctor in Medicine, Physician and Surgeon
Dr. Espinosa was a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist and he earned the distinction of Fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR), one of the profession’s highest honors.
For 20 years, Dr. Espinosa served as a Professor of Radiology at the University of Chicago, where he educated and mentored future generations of physicians.
Dr. Espinosa received the Raymond B Allen Award for excellency in teaching, a highly prized Award for 19 years.
In addition to his Medical profession, Dr. Espinosa served in the United States Army USAR Medical Corps, Fort Sheridan, Illinios for 25 years and retired honorably with the Rank of Colonel, War Veteran 1999 to 2013.
Dr.Espinosa retired in 2014 and moved to Lynchburg Virgina, he was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where his faith was an important part of life.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years, Carol Anne Espinosa; his son David Espinosa (Tricia),grandchildren, Sigourny, Frank and Anthony, his daughter, Susie Espinosa; and his sisters, Beatriz and Olga Ibarra(Fernando)and many nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed by his family,friends, colleagues, and all whose lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 8th, 2026 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 Langhorne Road Lynchburg Va. 24503, with Pastor Dennis Roberts officiating.
Military Honors and Committal by the church Columbarium will follow the service.
A Reception for family and friends will follow at the Espinosa Home.
