

Born in Campbell County, June 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Billy Mahone Moore and Mary Cyrus Moore. She retired from Sam Pate and Associates and attended Friendship Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed sending cards to family and friends for all occasions.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Johnnie W. Grishaw; one daughter, Vanessa Grishaw Raikes; two brothers and seven sisters.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Robin Grishaw Johnson and Mary Sue Foster and husband Maynard all of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Gregory Harrison and wife Lacey, Paula Watts and husband Bryan and Cole Sowers; three great grandchildren, Evan Harrison, Logan Watts and Reese Harrison and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. David Critcher and the Rev. Terry Wornstaff officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
