Hazel Marie Monroe Elliott, 89, of Lynchburg passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Summit.
Born in Lynchburg, August 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John Hopkins Monroe and Etta Nichols Monroe. She retired from General Electric after 32 years of service and was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Twice married, she was preceded in death by her first husband at young age, Cecil Arthur and was also preceded in death by her second husband David Lloyd Elliott.
She is survived by two daughters, Shelly Arthur Guthrie and her husband Don and CeCe Arthur Thomas and her husband Donald; two granddaughters, Tara Guthrie Campbell and husband G.R. and Kari Guthrie Vess and husband Jeremy and three great grandchildren, Hunter and Josh Campbell and Carson Vess.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Virginia Memorial Park.
