Helen Christian Cawthorne Duff

Helen was born in Appomattox to the late James Daniel Cawthorne and the late Annie Wooldridge Cawthorne. She retired from Craddock Terry Shoe Corp and was a member of Leawood Baptist Church. Her joys in life were taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 14 siblings.

In addition to her husband, Helen is survived by her daughters, Debbie Duff, Vickie Bell (JW), and Cathi Mason (Bim); nine grandchildren, Brandon Boyette, Ronnie Simpson (Kara), Heather Ware (Jonathon) Rory Bell (April), Blair Bell, Jeremy Mason, Matthew Mason (Jenna), Sunshine Manning (Bryan) and Mamie Mason; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris and Mary; one brother, Norman; and special friends, Doris Cofflin, Kaye Cobbs, Vickie Hudson and Mike Cofflin.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Cecilia McCallum and the staff at Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center and to Rebecca at Centra Hospice.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, with Pastor Mark Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, starting at 10 am.
