Helen Irene Mitchell Kittinger, 75, of Lynchburg, died, Friday, April 19, 2013, at her residence. Born December 5, 1937, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late James Alvin Mitchell and the late Lucille Jordan Mitchell.
Helen was a retired secretary for Ericsson General Electric Company, a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and former member of Leesville Road Baptist Church.
Helen is survived by her daughter Carolyn Baker and her husband James of Lynchburg.
A funeral service will be conducted, 10:00a.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Leesville Road Baptist Church with Dr. Carl Diemer officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2013, at Leesville Road Baptist Church and at other times at the residence of James and Carolyn Baker.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Patrick Henry Boys Home, Liberty Godparent Home or the American Cancer Society.
