Helen Idell Martin

She was born in North Carolina on November 14, 1961.

Helen was a real firecracker who had a heart of gold and was a very giving lady. Her children were the main thing in her life, all of whom she loved dearly.

Survivors include 3 children, Crystal D. May, Kimberly “Chimpy” R. May and William A. May; her mother and father, Patricia and Norman Brown; 5 grandchildren, Scott Scruggs, Hannah Phelps, Kyleigh Idell Harris, Jasey Harris, and Logan May. She is also survived by 2 sisters and 1 brother.

The family would like to thank the surgical ICU staff of Lynchburg General Hospital as well as Danielle Outland for all the love and care that they showed to their mother.

A celebration of life for Helen will be held from 4-6 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
