

Born in Amherst County on February 9, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Marvin Edward Casey and Lula Pearl Smoot Casey.
Helen graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1943. She was a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church and Fairview Rebekah Lodge #52. She enjoyed playing bingo and reading , but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Phyllis Casey, Margaret C. Foster, Hilda M. Casey, Thelma C. Wilmer, and Shirley Wilson Casey.
She is survived by her sons, Stephen E. Reynolds and wife Brenda of Forest and Marvin R. Reynolds and wife Laura of Altavista; her grandchildren, Stephen E. Reynolds, Jr. and wife Kari of Lynchburg, Alexander K. Reynolds and his fiancé Stephanie of Lynchburg, Elizabeth Ann Cox and husband Greg of Altavista, Edwin A. Reynolds and his wife Summer of Yantic, CT, and Ethan R. Reynolds of Altavista; her great grandsons, Landon C. Cox and James T. Cox of Altavista, and Braedyn Davis of Lynchburg; her niece, Lou Ann Foster Turner and husband Billy of Amherst; and two nephews, William Morris Foster and his wife Beth of Forest and David Foster and his wife Sharon of Monroe.
Special thanks to Florence Johnson for her companionship and care over the past two years.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 7 to 8:30 pm at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 2 pm at Fort Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Randy Bowers officiating.
