Helen Pearl (Spruce) Williams

Helen Pearl Spruce Williams, 93, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Guggenheimer Health & Rehab. Born on April 5, 1925 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Jackson Spruce and Cornelia Gilliam Spruce. She was a retired supervisor with General Electric Company with 28 years of service, and Mail America with 10 years of service. She was a faithful member of Tyreeanna United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Faye S. Jones. She is survived by two sons, Troy Williams and Thomas Williams both of Lynchburg; and one daughter Donna Rae Walker and husband Johnny of Bedford; a brother, Harry Spruce of Forest; four grandchildren, Shane Williams, Darryl Walker, Tracy Kernen, and Whitney Williams; seven great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Pastor James Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
