

Born in Amherst County, January 5, 1926, she was a daughter of the late James Boney Campbell and Cora C. Campbell. She was retired from Lynchburg General Hospital and was a member of Keystone Baptist Church.
Hilda was the last of 12 children; she was preceded in death by three brothers, Woody Campbell, Gilbert Campbell and Charlie Campbell; three sisters, Myrtie C. Hartless, Eva C. Hartless and Ethel C. Briscoe and five infant siblings. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Michael D. Briscoe.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara P. Vass and her husband S. Reid of Forest, C. Faye Lunsford and her husband J. Paul of Knightdale, NC and Teresa Blackwell and her husband H. Donny of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Jackson W. Reams, III, Rhonda R. Creammer and husband Clinton and Shellie A. Jett and husband Ryan and two great grandchildren, Kaleb Scott Reams and wife Chelsi and Clinton L. Creammer, III.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Keystone Baptist Church with Dr. J. Monty Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. today at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
