Born on December 26, 1953, in Chester, Pennsylvania, Jacquelyn was the daughter of the late Joseph Charles Boughner and Murrell M. Howlett Boughner. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jayme B. Hampton.
Jacquelyn, known affectionately as Jackie, was the devoted wife of 42 years to Patrick Gorman. Together they built a life centered around faith, love, and, most of all, family. She was the proud and loving mother of two daughters, Alexa Y. Gorman and Elena X. Gorman, who were the absolute light of her life. Her joy was found in the everyday moments spent with her husband and daughters, whether traveling together, sharing stories, or embarking on spontaneous family adventures that created a lifetime of cherished memories.
Family was everything to Jackie. She nurtured her home with unwavering love and grace, always putting others before herself. Her kindness, quiet strength, and deep compassion shaped the lives of those closest to her and created a legacy of love that will endure through the generations.
A woman of deep faith, Jackie found comfort and community in her attendance at Thomas Road Baptist Church. Her spirituality guided her life and was evident in the care and encouragement she extended to all.
A private service will be held in accordance with Jackie’s wishes.
To honor Jackie’s lifelong compassion for others, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), Tunnel to Towers Foundation (www.t2t.org), or Samaritan’s Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org).
Jackie’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her—and in the many lives she touched through her gentle, giving spirit.
