Dale was born in Lynchburg, September 22, 1960. He loved sports and fishing and was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders.
He is survived by his parents, James R. Gunter, Jr. and Nancy H. Gunter of Lynchburg; two daughters, Megan Gunter of Forest and Blair Gunter of Lynchburg; one brother, William H. Gunter of Forest; one granddaughter Braelyn Dawson and a nephew, Aaron Gunter of Richmond.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Spring Hill Cemetery with Leslie Davidson and the Rev. Curtis Wheeler officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
