Born in Hastings, Nebraska, May 25, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Glen Stine and Doris Campbell Stine. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting blankets and donated hundreds of them to shelters and veterans organizations. She was active in church when she could attend and loved her dogs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Larry Niel Mace and one grandson, Carl Mayberry and her son-in-law, Wayne Ayers.
She is survived by three daughters, Debra M. Shaw of Lynchburg, Denise M. East and husband Roy of Evington and DeAnne M. Ayers of Madison Heights; a special grandson who she raised as a son, Darryl Mace; a special granddaughter and caregiver, Janice Wooldridge; six other grandchildren, Robert, Michael,
Sara, Kim, Chris and Kathryn; one brother, Joe Stine and numerous great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
